There are trips that are planned just for relaxation, and then there are trips that become part of your story.
Our visit to Alibijaban Island in San Andres, Quezon was more than just another beach getaway. It became a celebration of friendship, memories, and five years of shared adventures with the gang.
Located off the coast of San Andres in Quezon Province, Alibijaban is known for its white sand beaches, clear waters, mangrove areas, and peaceful island atmosphere. It sits in the Ragay Gulf and is part of the municipality of San Andres, making it one of Quezon’s beautiful island destinations for travelers looking for a more raw and laid-back escape.

What makes Alibijaban special is not only its beach, but also its natural environment. The island is recognized for its mangroves, coral reefs, and coastal ecosystem. In 2025, Republic Act No. 12226 declared the Alibijaban area as a protected landscape and seascape under the National Integrated Protected Areas System, recognizing its ecological and aesthetic importance.
Seeing the island from above makes you appreciate how simple and beautiful it is. The contrast of the deep blue sea, the bright turquoise water, the white shoreline, and the green coconut trees gives Alibijaban a calm and untouched feeling. It is the kind of place that reminds you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.
For us, this trip was not only about the destination. It was about the people we shared it with.

5 Years with the Gang
Five years of friendship is not just counted by the number of photos taken or places visited. It is counted through shared jokes, long conversations, random plans that somehow push through, food trips, road trips, beach days, and memories that become funnier every time they are retold.
Alibijaban became the perfect place to celebrate that.
There was something special about being surrounded by clear waters, fresh air, and familiar faces. Everyone came with their own energy, their own stories, and their own reason for needing a break. But together, the trip became one beautiful reminder: friendships grow stronger when people continue to show up.
Some moments were loud and funny. Some were quiet and peaceful. Some were just simple scenes — standing by the shore, watching the water, taking photos, laughing under the sun — but those are the exact memories that stay.

Why Alibijaban Is Worth Visiting
Alibijaban is ideal for travelers who appreciate simple island living. It is not the type of destination that needs luxury to impress you. Its charm comes from its natural beauty, local community, quiet shoreline, and peaceful scenery.
Visitors usually come for beach bumming, swimming, boating, exploring the sandbar and mangrove areas, and enjoying the island’s relaxed atmosphere. Travel guides also highlight its sandbar, mangrove forest, sunset views, and floating cottages as part of the Alibijaban experience.
But beyond the tourist spots, Alibijaban gives something deeper: space.
Space to rest.
Space to reconnect.
Space to appreciate nature.
Space to remember why friendship matters.
For the gang, this was not just a beach trip. It was a milestone.
A Trip Worth Remembering
After five years, friendships change. People get busier. Schedules become harder to match. Life moves in different directions. But when a trip like this happens, it reminds everyone that some bonds remain strong even when life gets complicated.
Alibijaban gave us the background: blue waters, white sand, mangroves, boats, and sunset light.
But the real highlight was the people.
This trip became proof that the best memories do not always need a perfect plan. Sometimes, all you need is a beautiful island, good company, and the willingness to be present.
Five years with the gang.
One island.
Countless memories.
Alibijaban, San Andres — thank you for giving us a place to pause, laugh, reconnect, and celebrate friendship.
